Spinfilters are mainly used for medium perfusion in
cell culture. In this case it is absolute necessary
that living cells were retained reliable. Additionally
the clogging of the membrane must be prevent by the
construction of the spinfilter and also by the used
membranes. This blocking would bring the fermentation
to the end. Normally the membrane is a multiple layer
weaved stainless steel mesh. BBI has developed in cooperation
with Saxonia BioTec a new system which can be used
by delivered adapters to different sizes of the stirrer
shaft.
