Novo Nordisk A/S, which is a world leading pharmaceutical
company in diabetes and haemophilia care, made the
investment for this new plant, which is located in
Hillerod, in the Medicon Valley north of Copenhagen,
Denmark. Novo Nordisk Engineering (nne), which is a
leading engineering consulting company for the biotech
and pharmaceutical industry, was the partner for BBI
for the realization of this challenging project. BBI
was selected as one main contractor for turnkey delivery
of all process modules in the Fermentation medium and
in the Fermentation area of the New Factor VII (NFVII)
plant. BBI´s responsibility for the turnkey delivery
of the majority and the most complex process modules
in the NFVII plant covered everything, from detailed
design and construction up to commissioning and qualification.
